Dinsmore Racing Supports OORA Racers!

Dinsmore Racing has joined the growing list of companies that see the value of supporting the Ontario Off Road Racing Association and its members. The company is a one stop shopping source for racers with the expertise and parts to build a complete race car from the ground up.

Located in Paris, Ontario, Dinsmore Racing is one of the best known engine and transmission building names in the circle track circles. Their engines are used by a large amount of winning circle track teams and their custom built engines and transmissions are used by a number of Ontario Off Road Racing Association members. Since owner Greg Dinsmore and son Travis returned to racing in the Ontario Off Road Racing Association in a Class 1600 buggy, they have developed a number of high quality off road racing suspension parts for buggies, such as front sprindles and front and rear trailing arms. In a recent move to help service off road racers even further, Dinsmore Racing has developed a strong relationship with manufactures that cater to the off road racing industry. Not only are they the Ontario distributor for Fox Racing shocks, but they recently announced the addition of Sway A Way products to their already strong lineup of off road and performance products. With Sway A Way manufacturing a wide variety products such as off road shocks, coilovers, hydraulic bump stops, performance torsion bars and a number of buggy suspension products, Dinsmore has everything that an off road racing will need.

Dinsmore Racing is proud to announce its entry into the Ontario Off Road Racing Association Contingency Program. In an effort to reward the racers that purchase products from Dinsmore Racing, they will place 15% of all money that OORA members spend with them (excluding fuel) into a special fund that will be distributed to qualified members at the end of the year. In order to qualify, members in good standing must purchase products from Dinsmore Racing and must run one Dinsmore Racing decal per side on their race vehicle.

As an added bonus, all Ontario Off Road Racing Association Sponsors, will have a special section of the message board if requested. OORA Welcomes Turbo Blue Racing Fuels!

The Ontario Off Road Racing Association is proud to announce a new marketing partnership with Turbo Blue racing fuel. The partnership is based on the associations contingency program and will award the racers that purchase, use and promote Turbo Blue products.

Turbo Blue offers a variety of racing gasolines ranging from 100 octane to the Turbo Blue Extreme 116 octane fuel. The Turbo Blue fuels are refined to meet the needs of all motorsport competitors, from the stock 4 cylinder engines to the 800 horsepower big block V8's. The program is open to all OORA members in good standing that purchase Turbo Blue products from confirmed Turbo Blue dealers and display one Turbo Blue decal per side on their race vehicle. Turbo Blue is distributed in Canada by DSE1 Inc and has a large dealer network across the province. All purchases must be recorded by the dealer and will be submitted to DSE1 and Turbo Blue. A portion of the money spent by OORA racers will be given back to the qualifying drivers at the 2007 Awards Banquet with dollar or percentage amounts to be determined by year end points. In addition, Turbo Blue and DSE1 will be handing out 5-20 litre containers of fuel at the banquet for all eligible drivers. Once again, year end points placing determines what Turbo Blue racers recieve the contingency dollars and product. As an added bonus, there will be 2-20 litre pails of fuel to be given out at the upcoming January Monster Jam in Toronto as well.

OORA Public Relations Director Ed Sanderson comments that "Our organisation welcomes Turbo Blue to the OORA family. Turbo Blue and DSE1 want to give back to the racers that purchase and promote their products. We all know that racing is an expensive sport and we appreciate the assistance that they are giving to our racers. I am confident that our racers will take this opportunity to not only ensure that they are using Turbo Blue race fuel in order to make the year end purse larger, but that they will promote and support Turbo Blue products as much as possible. The more Turbo Blue fuel that is purchased, the more money the qualified racers will recieve at the end of the year."

"2007 is just the start of a great relationship with off road racers in Ontario. We welcome racers to contact ourselves or our dealers to help them decide on which fuel is best for their application. Monster Jam & Off Road Racing!

Monster Jam is back at the Rogers Centre on January 20 and 21! The club has been contacted to hold wheel to wheel racing in conjunction with the Monster Jam again. We have a signed contract for a $3000cdn purse for the weekend. We are also looking for volunteers to help with set up, take down and as corner marshals. The feedback from last year was that we put on a better show than the monster trucks! This years Awards Banquet was a huge success! The event, held in Brantford, wrapped up the 2006 season in fine style. Masters of Ceremonies Bob Joseph and Ed Sanderson did a great job of hosting large amount of racers, team members, volunteers and fans. The food, as always, was excellant and the companionship was even better.

2006 was the year for young, second generation racers! Class 1600 Champion Jeff Zoskey was also voted by his peers as the Driver Of The Year while Class 7 Champion Brian Aube took home the Overall Points Award and Truck Rookie Of The Year. Travis Dinsmore took home second in Class 1600 and the Buggy Rookie Of The Year.

The voting for the Driver Of The Year was close...in fact, there was only one point seperating Jeff Zoskey from three other drivers. It was close enough that the executive decided to award the runner ups trophies. Congratulations to Jeff Zoskey, Brian Aube, Kevin Kern and Ray Weese. This award is voted by the drivers for whom they feel is not only a good, clean racer on the track but also a true sportsman off the track and in the pits.

The Hard Luck Award was also a tough choice this year. There was 4 drivers that stood out as having problems all year long. In the end, it was decided to give the award to the one driver that broke at every race, but still plugged along all year. There was a few motor swaps and control arm changes on Saturday nights by Rob Sanderson, who took home the tool box filled with duct tape, haywire, zip ties, etc.
